Welcome To My Site!

Well, it’s been about eight years since I started writing and what a ride. It’s a lot like Quantum Leap in a way. I step into the lives of strangers, see the world from their point of view and then write it down.

Every book is a journey—I’ve always said that. It’s just that I’m never sure where I’m going until I get there. Good thing I don’t have to pack, isn’t it?

My yellow Labrador, Cosmo, still lives with me, but he’s getting older now and sleeps through most of what I do. I still depend on him for inspiration, but I don’t wake him up for it anymore. My sister’s dog, Little Bear, is happy to keep me company most of the time.  I have a plethora of cats—two were mine from kitten-hood, and two came with my sister and my niece. Add in my daughter’s visiting bird and you have Wild Kingdom…or a good idea for a series. Hmm…I’ll keep you posted on that.

 When I’m not writing, I make jewelry. It keeps me busy and inspired and helps relieve a lot of stress. There’s nothing like twisting a jump ring in half to bleed off steam, let me tell you. Of course, it has to be a big one or it doesn’t count. I’ve been letting the characters in my books inspire what I make. It’s really a lot of fun.  I still drink way too much coffee—still black and strong. I also drink a lot of tea. I like PG Tips or Tension Tamer. And I’ve been on a peanut binge for the last two years. That’s really what I eat the most of: dry roasted, unsalted peanuts. I’m sure there are worse things, but now that I’m in a wheelchair all the time, it’s bad news for my waistline. Ah, well. C’est la vie.

 And that’s all I can think of just now. I hope you enjoy the website. Mae’s kept it up wonderfully over the last several years. As I’ve said before, I’ll keep writing if you keep reading.
