Ever since I published two short stories in Redbook at eleven years old, I thought I was a writer. Since then, I’ve written columns in various local papers, tutored countless students in writing and editing and generally, pretended to write.

When I was laid off at my job, I wasn’t sure what to do. Because I’ve always entertained myself with stories, I decided to write some of them down and see if anyone else liked them.

One thing I find exciting about writing a story it that I am often surprised by what the characters get up to. Sometimes I find myself thinking, “Wow! I didn’t know he was going to do that!”

The thing I find the most exciting about writing is hearing what people think when they’ve read one of my books. Your enjoyment of the stories I write inspires me. I look forward to sharing countless adventures with you as I continue to write and you keep on reading.
